Hurricanes Fan Fest | Celebrate, Play, and Meet the Stars!
Great news for Hurricanes fans! The Hurricanes Fan Day is on Tuesday, January 28, the day after the BBL 14 Final.
No matter what happens in the big game on Monday night, the Hurricanes players will be at Kangaroo Bay from 12:00 to 2:00 pm to celebrate an awesome season.
There will be heaps of fun cricket activities set up on the oval, thanks to Cricket Tasmania’s Community Cricket team. You can smash big sixes like Tim David or bowl super-fast like Nathan Ellis!
That’s not all – Gust the saxophonist and DJ Cane, who brought the vibes to the Hurricanes matches this season, will be there too. There will also be face painting, cool Hurricanes giveaways, and the chance to meet your favorite players in person!
Tubes Taylor, who hosted the Hurricanes games this season, will run the event. He’ll chat with players and coaches, host fun Q&A sessions, and (hopefully!) help celebrate a big win from Monday night.
Cricket Tasmania CEO Dominic Baker is thrilled about the Fan Day. “It’s a great way for our players and staff to thank Hurricanes fans for all their support this season,” he said. “We hope fans will enjoy playing cricket, meeting their favorite players, and maybe even celebrating with the BBL trophy on Tuesday!”
Clarence Mayor Brendan Bromley is also excited. He said, “The Hurricanes have had an amazing season, and this Fan Day is a great way to bring everyone together. Sport has such a special way of uniting communities. I hope fans from all over Tasmania come to celebrate – and fingers crossed, we’ll be celebrating our first BBL title!”
The big Final kicks off at 7:15 pm on Monday night at Ninja Stadium. If the Hurricanes win, it’ll be their first-ever BBL championship. Fingers crossed!
