Melbourne Stars introduce Pakistan stand in BBL 14
The Melbourne Stars are bringing back the Pakistan Stand for the Big Bash League! Starting December 14, fans can enjoy the first four home games of the Stars from this special section. Itโs a great spot for supporters to come together and cheer for their favorite team.
A special stand at the Melbourne Cricket Ground will welcome Pakistani cricket fans this season. Theyโll have an extra reason to cheer because Pakistanโs spinner Osama Mir is playing for the Melbourne Stars. Heโs following the path of Haris Rauf, who was also part of the Stars in the past.
The Melbourne Stars said they started this idea to connect with fans of Pakistani players. They want more people to enjoy and get involved in the game.
The Melbourne Stars have some amazing players on their team. Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis from Australia are two of their biggest stars. They also have Ben Duckett from England, whoโs a great player. The Stars will play their first four home games on December 18, January 4, January 9, and January 19. Please mark your calendar to catch them in action!
Theย Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved three national cricketers to participate in the Big Bash League.
Usama Mir is allowed to play in the Big Bash League (BBL) from January 3 to January 27. Meanwhile, Anwar Ali and Usman Shinwari have gotten No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to join the Minor Cricket League.
The PCB has given NOCs to players from September 20 to October 6. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board also reached out to the PCB to confirm if some Pakistani players can join the Zim Afro T10 Cricket League.
The PCB gave approval for NOCs but made one thing clear: players taking part in the Champions One Day Cup wonโt get permission. However, players not involved in the Champions League can still get NOCs.
