The Sixers Squad locked for The Qualifier
The Sydney Sixers have announced their 13-player squad for the Qualifier Final against the Hobart Hurricanes on Tuesday night at NINJA Stadium.
Three key players Todd Murphy, Sean Abbott, and Steve Smith are missing from the squad because theyโve left to prepare for the upcoming Test series in Sri Lanka. This means they wonโt be available for the BBL Finals.
To replace Steve Smith, the Sixers have brought in Lachlan Hearne, a talented left-handed batter from New South Wales. Hearne made his Sheffield Shield debut for NSW when he was just 20 years old and recently moved to Queensland to continue his cricket journey. According to league rules, he must be included in the playing twelve for the match.
The Qualifier Final starts at 7:30 PM (AEDT) and will be broadcast live on Seven, 7plus, Foxtel, Kayo, ABC Sport, and SEN.
The winner of the game will secure a spot in The Final on Monday, while the losing team will play in The Challenger on Friday night.
