Tanveer Sangha Extends with Thunder Until End of BBL 17
Sydney Thunder has announced that Tanveer Sangha has signed a new contract with the club, keeping him on the team until the end of BBL 17.
The young leg spinner has had an impressive season, showing off his skills even after overcoming injuries. His re-signing is great news for the Thunder as they get ready for a big match against the Melbourne Stars at ENGIE Stadium.
Tanveer, who grew up in Western Sydney, is proof of the clubโs commitment to developing local talent. Trent Copeland, the Thunderโs General Manager, stressed how important it is to keep homegrown players to build long-term success for the team.
โKeeping Tanveer was one of our top goals,โ Copeland said. โHis dreams match what weโre aiming for as a club. Weโre thrilled to have him with us for another three years.โ
Copeland added, โTanveer is a brilliant young spinner with loads of potential. Heโs on his way to playing in big leagues worldwide and representing Australia in all formats of the game. His confidence is amazing he always believes in himself, no matter the opponent. That was clear when he came back from injury and got a big wicket right away.โ
โBeing from Western Sydney, Tanveer is the perfect example of what we stand for. Heโs not just a key player for us; heโs also a great role model for fans and the community. Weโre so excited to have him for the next three seasons and hopefully longer.โ
Thunder fans can watch Tanveer Sangha in action during the Knockout Final against the Melbourne Stars at ENGIE Stadium this Wednesday, January 22, starting at 7:30 PM AEDT.
